How did ChicBoxing get started?
Let’s start at the beginning…
In 2002, my new life was about to unfold. I was recently single, rented my first apartment alone, had a brand new job and was finally ready for a new, improved me. I remember walking into a local gym knowing that the only way I was going to see RESULTS was if I worked with a personal trainer.
I had joined gyms prior and would do only a little bit of this and that and then leave. (usually abs and inner and outer thighs, thinking I could spot train) Clearly, what I had been doing wasn’t working for me as I could see no visible results. After about 6 weeks of working with a PT, not only could I finally see some ab definition but, I tried a fitness class- which I LOVED and well, the rest is history. I have been blessed and determined to combine the best of both Personal Training and Group Fitness into fabulous, fun, kick butt classes where you will experience RESULTS firsthand.
A good portion of my working life has been spent coaching and counselling people to help them achieve their nutrition and health goals using my knowledge from a BSc with a major in Nutrition and Nutraceuticals. Over the years, using both fitness and nutrition, I have personally been able to feel myself get both physically and mentally stronger.
This brings us to NOW…
If you check out our website Instructor page, it lists 5 reasons why ChicBoxing was created and here are the last 3 very important reasons:
Reason #3. Fitness Kickboxing is the Ultimate workout to get the body you dream of while having an absolute blast!! You don’t need to be co-ordinated to do the workouts which is a huge bonus, you can burn off enormous amounts of stress while punching focus pads AND you get an amazing core workout!
Reason #4. I wanted to deliver a quality class while keeping the cost low. Working with a Personal Trainer will cost anywhere from $50-$125 for one hour and we all know how much gym memberships drain our bank account even if we don’t go! ChicBoxing makes sure that both YOU and your pocket book are happy!!
Reason #5. My friends and family have all seen the benefits that fitness has had on me, things like weight loss, muscle tone and a happier outlook on life, and this has made me want to share all of this with YOU.
