Hehe.. did you think I was serious?? You probably noticed that alcohol isn’t on the list of allowable liquids and there are some great reasons for that…
1. Alcohol is a huge contributing factor to abdominal fat.
Alcohol is converted into a substance called acetate and after an alcoholic drink is consumed there is a rise in circulating acetate levels in the body. ACETATE is linked to less fat being burned in the body or, in simpler terms, alcohol = less fat loss.
2. Alcohol consumption usually means lots of extra calories that you weren’t aware of and as we know, the general rule of weight/fat loss is calories in must either = or be less than calories burned. So, you better be dancing HARD.
3. Rarely do you stop at one. “I have a glass of wine a day… ” – OH really… how big is your glass?? You sure that’s not 1/2 the bottle?
Ok, so, this IS a 6 week challenge so we’ve asked that you have ZERO alcohol for the next 6 weeks…. This challenge could also be a lifestyle though and maybe you don’t ever consume alcohol (kudos to you!!) but, if you really do enjoy a drink, what do you do??
Here’s to a cleaner, clearer, healthier body:-)

We don’t have to give it up entirely, just be sensible…Your University degree, certified courses in your many fields of health/nutrition/fitness and training certainly puts everything into perspective. Yes, you’re right, being sensible is key but, for the next 6 weeks, we ask that you really try to have none:-)
Not much of a challenge for me, our family does not drink, and not because we are quakers! It doesn’t fit into our lifestyle.
