Challenge #1
If you follow only ONE challenge over the next 6 weeks this one would have to be it….
Here is a list of liquids that are ALLOWED to enter the body
Yes, that’s right no more double doubles at Tim Hortons or your favourite Starbucks, calorie laden delicious dessert in a cup, or even juice! Here is an interesting article for you to read with regards to the WORST drinks to consume and their comparisons to food… are you guilty of having any of these drinks on a regular basis??

This first challenge is actually very simple and I believe we’re being pretty thoughtful here by saying that you can STILL have coffee, you can STILL have tea, you can STILL have carbonated beverages… let’s start to train our minds in enjoying the EXACT same pleasures (such as caffeine) minus the SUGAR… Hey, and if soda(pop) is your downfall, just have a tea for the caffeine and a Perrier for the bubbles. (I can say this with absolution as I love pop but, I have trained myself to enjoy the substitutions!!)
OH and by the way, you may have a setback or 2 when it comes to drinking the “allowable” drinks. It’s understandable, especially when friends, co-workers and family are so used to you doing things a certain way BUT, it’s time to tell them you’ve changed… for the better!! Get focused and ONLY have liquids from the list provided above.
Remember, in order to get your ballots for the week and the chance to WIN a free 6 week ChicBoxing session AND a pair of focus pads, you need to write on our facebook page and tell us how it’s going for you.
Have fun making new drink choices:-)
OH and look forward to some beverage tips over the week!

I am very impressed with your first challenge. Being healthy and fit should be everyone’s goal. You go gurl!
First Challenge and First day – success. I have been drinking black coffee for years. I went without milk first and then sugar. You can do it!
That’s actually a great way to wean off milk and sugar. In this challenge, those that drink coffee can still take milk, as long as it’s almond milk but should get rid of the sugar!! If they’re absolutely desparate for sugar, they can try the sugar substitutes out!
This is an easy challenge as this is what & how I drink it daily !!!
I love the tea and carbonated water idea!! Over the past few months I’ve been able to teach myself to enjoy milk in my coffee instead of cream, not a huge step, but it’s a start. Looks like I’m going cold turkey with this challenge.
Michelle, try almond milk!!!
I don’t drink coffee, so this challange is an easy one! I love water!!
Yay water!! Try a bit of lemon to give your organs an extra flush:-) Any other bevvies that you can’t live without??
I’m on vacation at the moment, but always up for a challenge. It won’t be hard to drink lots of water, especially in the tropics. 🙂
Have an awesome time on your vacation Leigh-Anne. Are you going alcohol free? Amazing if you are!
Again, our family does not consume tea or coffee. I think my biggest downfall would be the juice or crystal light. I just hate water, it’s so plain.
Hey Karen- try lemon or lime in your water to give it some tasty flavour! Also, you can have crystal light, I just don’t recommend it instead of water (which I know lots of people think it’s ok!)
I love water with or without lemon or lime! I just don’t drink enough of it most days especially at work when it is crazy busy and I don’t have time to sip water. The only tea that I take with milk is orange pekoe but I can do without that and stick with herbals only as I drink them black all the time. This sounds like the start of a great challenge!!
Thanks Kim, sounds like you’re going to do well too!! Keep up your positive attitude and it will be a breeze!
Week 1 has been great for watching what
liquids I put into my body. The hardest
Part has been going without milk in my tea.
I tried the almond milk in my morning smoothies
and it’s pretty good!
Looking forward to next week’s challenge!
Awesome Karen!! Did you try almond milk in your tea? That would be ok…
