What if PayPal or my credit card is NOT working for payment?

There is a chance that the system is very busy and can’t handle all of the activity. Try clearing and refreshing the payment page or try to make the payment on a different computer. Another option is that the address you have given PayPal is not the same information that your credit card company has.
  • Do I need Equipment?

    Your hand wraps are included in your membership. Focus pads are REQUIRED and can be purchased at your first class or through our Products page. We also have boxing gloves for sale if you would rather punch with gloves:-) The gloves are not necessary but focus pads and hand wraps are.

    How are you running classes with Covid-19?

    Each location is taking different stances on how they are running classes during Covid. We are definitely offering online classes for all locations. Some locations are doing both online and in-person. If we are in-person we are following all necessary guidelines that the Ontario government has deemed necessary.

    Where are the ChicBoxing classes located?

    Currently there are classes in Barrie, Orillia and Elmvale, Ontario and we are looking for licensees to open and run classes in locations around Canada so please email us if you, or someone you know is ready to start a super fun, low start-up business!

    What if it's snowing or an ice storm?

    We will keep you posted on our Facebook group as to whether or not class is cancelled. We will get the word out about 1.5-2 hours before your class starts. Chances are if it's just snow, class is still on. There are days where it's been a crazy snow storm one minute and then beautifully sunny the next. Don't worry, we will make sure you know! If you haven't heard from us at least an hour before the class starts and you still haven't heard then message your coach:-) P.S.- in this unlikely event, we recommend that you do a home workout!
  • Policies

    How do I schedule classes?

    Currently we are doing a program basis so when you sign up you are signing up for the same classes each week. Saturdays will be on a sign-up basis as these tend to be smaller in size, you will contact your coach each week to let them know you are coming. If you can not attend a class, please contact your coach and let them know.

    How many people are required for a class to run?

    A class will continue to run and stay on a schedule with a minimum of 4 ladies attending consistently. If a class has only 1 or 2 participants consistently then we may consider cancelling the class in its entirety. The regular participants will be made aware and we will do our best to keep the class up and running!

    Missing a Scheduled Class

    Cancelling a registration is required a minimum of two hours before classes. If you are registered and don't cancel within the two-hour limit, a $10 fee will be charged to your account for classes that have very limited numbers. Side note- we are a small company and understand that life can be busy, however, if you abuse this policy then yes, you will be charged after a warning.

    Processing Fees

    We easily accept credit card- Visa and MasterCard as well as direct debit for no additional charge. If you choose to pay with e-Transfer there will be a $5 fee for every e-transfer accepted. If you choose to use a website link for payment we use a system called Stripe and you are responsible for the fees associated and they will be shown and added to your bill payment.

    I'm going away- can I put my program on hold?

    You can certainly put your program on hold!! In fact, we recommend it! Up to 2 weeks it is free to hold your membership. Anything more than that there is a $10 fee for every month/partial month. Talk to your coach for more details!

    What form of payment do you accept?

    We only accept credit card- Visa, Mastercard or your banking info for direct withdrawals. No cash or cheque payments are accepted.

    What if I'm late for a class?

    If this is your first-ever class (yay!!) we would suggest being there at least 10 minutes early. If the class has already started and you're late we ask that you re-schedule. It's hard for the coach to teach the class and get you ready to go so that you feel comfortable!! Regular members: if you're late, please do a quick warm-up and then hop into class. Also, please come in as discreetly as you can- don't be surprised if you get a little workout treat in your honour for being late- aka- your least favourite exercise;-)

    Can any fitness level join?

    Yes, for sure. Modifications will be given and every individual will progress at their own pace.

    What should I bring to Class?

    You need to bring water, a yoga mat, a small towel for sweat, indoor shoes, a jump rope if you already have one and a smile! Your hand wraps are included in your membership and must be brought to each class as well as a set of your own Focus Pads. You can purchase focus pads at your first class or on our Products page. We also have boxing gloves for sale if you would rather punch with gloves:-) The gloves are not necessary but focus pads and hand wraps are.

    What results will I get?

    That depends on how much effort you put into your time at class and the time you put in outside of class as well. Generally, you will feel your stress levels decrease, your cardio levels increase and your body fat decrease! We stress the importance of taking "Before" photos so you can visibly see your progress:-) As well, we do circumference measurements and body fat testing once a month as well- included in your program.

    What should I eat when attending ChicBoxing?

    Before a class, our best advice is to eat something light with a little bit of protein and carbohydrates. So, a hard boiled egg and an apple may be a good choice! Or, some cottage cheese with fresh fruit, or some tuna on a brown rice cake. Please DO NOT EAT PASTA before class... almost 100% guarantee that you won't feel well if you do! You will have the option to access some healthy meal plans, nutrition tips and guidelines when you join as well.

    How much do the classes cost?

    Your first class is free!! We do this to determine whether you are a good fit for the classes, as well, you can decide if ChicBoxing is a good fit for you too. Reach out to us to schedule your free ChicBoxing class and then we can let you know the price when you've finished your super fun workout. You have nothing to lose, except maybe some sweat ;-)
